Project Summary:

Lansing Grand River Assembly is one of General Motors latest cutting edge facilities, with three new buildings totaling 1.9 million sq. ft. on 83 acres of property and demolition of 19 existing buildings, a 530,000 sq. ft. Body Shop and 614,000 sq. ft. “T” shaped General Assembly.

Process engineering for material handling systems, installations of body shop welding lines, general assembly equipment, ventilation systems, and information system & services. Conveyance utilized skid system technology, and electrified monorail systems, truck stripping technology and skillet systems. Total cost of the equipment designed, procurement and installation was approximately 100 million dollars.
